DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo: Which Neo 2 Kit Should You Buy?

The Neo 2 comes in four kits. Here is what is in each one and who should buy which.

The DJI Neo 2 is one of the most popular small drones in Australia, and it is sold in several kits. Choosing the wrong one is the most common mistake: some include a controller, some do not, and the extra batteries are what actually let you keep flying. This guide explains each Neo 2 kit, adds a short DJI Neo 2 review of what the drone does well, and tells you which to buy.

DJI Neo 2 in brief

The DJI Neo 2 weighs about 151 g, shoots 4K video up to 60 fps, senses obstacles in every direction and flies for up to about 19 minutes per battery. It is built for selfies, follow-me shots and social video. For a wider comparison, read our DJI Neo 2 vs Flip vs Mini 4 Pro guide.

Drone only: the simplest start

The drone-only kit gives you the aircraft and its battery, with no controller included. It is the cheapest way in and suits people who will fly with the app on their phone and only need short sessions. Be aware that one battery means a single 19-minute flight at most, so most owners add a spare Neo 2 battery soon after.

Neo 2 Fly More Combo (drone only)

The Fly More Combo without a controller adds extra batteries, which is the upgrade that matters most for travel, events and content days. It is a good value pick for people who already have the control method they want. If you search for a DJI Neo2 fly more combo, this is the pack that usually fits.

Neo 2 Fly More Combo with the DJI RC-N3

The Neo 2 Fly More Combo with the DJI RC-N3 is our recommended Neo 2 kit. It includes the RC-N3 controller, a digital transceiver and extra batteries, so you get proper stick control, a stronger link and plenty of flight time in one box. The RC-N3 uses your smartphone as the screen. The digital transceiver is what connects the Neo 2 to compatible controllers and goggles, and you can also buy it separately as the DJI Neo 2 Digital Transceiver.

Neo 2 Motion Fly More Combo

The Motion Fly More Combo adds Goggles N3, a motion controller and extra batteries. You steer by moving your hand, which makes immersive flying simple for beginners. Choose it if the first-person view is what attracts you to the Neo 2. See also our FPV guide for goggles and controllers.
